Here's a true oddity you won't find at your local scenester magnet: selections from the back catalog by Canadian MOR band Toronto, who spawned "Start Tellin' the Truth" and "Your Daddy Don't Know," both of which were hot on regional radio while I was growing up. Lookin' for Trouble (1980), Head On (1981) and Get It On Credit (1982) can be had for a pittance, or if you're picky, just get the hitz and/or The Greatest Hits. I honestly haven't seen any of these records in stores since the days when I could be found thumbing through bins at the Northtown Musicland. If "Your Daddy Don't Know" is good enough for New Pornographers, surely it's good enough for you. (iTunes: Toronto)
